Essentially, the channel numbering is static, in that the channel numbers used do not change whether you are using an RVON-

8 or an RVON-16 card. Rather, it is a question of whether the channels shall or shall not exist.

NOTE: You can only hot-swap similar cards in a slot to achieve proper reconnection. If you swap different types of

RVON cards (RVON-8 and RVON-16), reconnection at the destination does not occur. You will have to

reconfigure the destination device to point to the newly swapped RVON device.
